I am so excited today's guest on the Rush Hour podcast is an attachment specialist.

He goes by the name Attachment Adam on Instagram

and Attachment Bro on TikTok. It's Adam Lane Smith. How are you? Doing great. How are you doing

today? By the way, I love the branding of attachment bro. What a, that makes, you know what I mean?

Two words and it makes perfect sense. You're the guy who talks attachment. Right. When you have attachment

issues, you really need a bro to help you through it. It took me, I don't know, three plus decades to

learn that I had attachment issues. Like you only think you are, like you think everyone else has the

same blueprint you do, right? So like when did you know that attachment was something that there was a

thirst to discuss?

Oh man. Well, I had attachment issues that I grew up with, but I white knuckled my way through

fixing it from about 20 to 22. And then I said, what the hell did I just do? So I went to graduate

school, got my psychology degree, learned everything I could. And there they tell you that attachment theory is just for babies and you don't need it

if you're not going to work with babies.

But I started diving deeper into it.

I said, this, this is the answer.

All the times in school, we'd say, why are mental health problems existing?

Why do they get caused?

Oh, it's a chemical thing.

You need 15 medications for it.
