2,000 U.S. troops have been picked for a potential deployment to support Israel,

though not in a combat role.

And the plan to open Gaza's border crossing with Egypt runs into stumbles.

It's not entirely clear at this point what exactly the holdup is,

but it's left a lot of American citizens that colleagues and I have spoken to

inside of Gaza, very frustrated with the U.S. government for telling them to

you know, take a risky trip towards the border only for it not to be opened.

Let's start with the latest developments in the Israel Hamas War.

On this morning's show, we talked about efforts by the U.S. and Egypt

to open Gaza's border crossing with Egypt.

Those efforts have already hit some roadblocks and have delayed the evacuation

of Americans and others stranded by Israel's military siege.
