The Vice President infamously declared her support of the activists calling to defund the police

when she posted a message promoting a bail

fund for the protesters arrested during the riots back in 2020.

Meantime Iran state-run media reports a successful launch of a satellite into space using a rocket built by the Revolutionary Guard.

There's no independent confirmation of the launch but footage released by Iranian media showed a rocket blast off from a mobile

launcher that rocket believed to have put a satellite into an orbit 340 miles

above the Earth. A recent US intelligence threat assessment said Iran's development of satellite

launch vehicles would shorten the timeline for Iran to develop an intercontinental

ballistic missile because it uses similar technology.

That kind of missile could deliver nuclear weapons and the International Atomic

Energy Agency is warned Tehran has enough enriched uranium to produce several nuclear weapons.
