0:17.0	He went to the poorest of the poorest and gave him consciousness
0:19.0	and it changed the dynamic of that whole city.
0:21.0	Then you go look at Oakland, right?
0:23.0	You got of course not only the black Panthers,
0:25.0	you have your black Muslim bakery and a multitude of other different groups
0:28.0	that came out of that, right?
0:30.0	And then when you go look at, you know,
0:32.0	all of the cities right now that has the highest rates of crime
0:36.0	and that now has the highest levels of poverty,
0:38.0	these were once central Renaissance hubs of consciousness.
0:41.0	Right?
0:42.0	For black liberation and empowerment and community.
