Summary

Consistency is a word that we hear on a daily basis. We need consistency in our routines, in the habits that we want to build, and with the projects we are working on. It seems like everything around us requires consistency. But this idea of being consistent is a lot harder than it sounds. We often struggle with staying consistent even for the smallest things. WHY?  In this episode we want to tackle this question: Why is it so hard to stick to habits and be consistent? We dig deep into the reasons why we, Michelle and Bridget, often struggle with sticking to habit. We get really vulnerable here in hopes to help you identify your own areas of need. At the end of the episode we share one of our own hacks for helping get back on track and build our habits! SUBMIT YOUR TIME SUCKING HURDLE! We want to know what is sucking up all of your time either as a teacher or just a person. Head over to our website and submit your TSH so that you can have a chance to be featured on the podcast! with a quote-unquote routine long enough to get through the initial bumps and or think something will work better.

0:55.7

So I feel like I'm constantly reinventing the wheel.

0:59.8

Oh my gosh. Lexi, I feel like I, you and me were like spirit animals together because this is

1:08.1

probably one of the things that I struggle with because I'm like, oh, there's like something new and better.

I get like the shiny object syndrome thing that goes on.

1:16.3

And it's like, I'm going to move on to this.

And this is something that just kind of works for me, is that I have to tell myself,

1:28.7

nope, I need to give it a month.

1:32.8

I need to give it one month, just keep sticking with it, keep moving forward.

1:39.0

And then after that month, I can say whether it's working for me or it's not working for me and I could go back to reinventing the wheel.

1:41.6

And the reason I started doing this was actually because I wanted a tattoo a long time ago.
