Well, hello there, top teachers. We are your hosts, Michelle Emerson and Bridget Spackman, and we are here to make your life easier by helping you master your time, organization, and productivity as a teacher.

Welcome to a completely new series we are going to be starting on teaching to the top, at least hopefully, unless it crashes and burns. If y'all hate it,

we'll stop. But we'll explain more about it in a second. Just know it's going to be a chatty episode.

Okay, but before we do that, we are going to be listening to a TSA from us.

So we're each going to be sharing a TSA that we have right now because it's a chatty episode. This is what we do here. So I am going to go first. Go for it. So I'm going to say my biggest time-sucking hurdle right now is lots and lots of learning. Guys, my brain hurts. Okay. There are moments where it's like, I just need to go

sleep so that I can process all the information that I have been reading. So if you don't know,

I have left the classroom. I am now a staff developer, so a training and consulting staff

developer for an intermediate unit in

Pennsylvania. So basically what I do is I support initiatives that come down from the Department

of Education. I work with 25 school districts and about 35 non-public schools. These are like

charter schools. So I do lots of learning right now. I am becoming an

expert and so many of the things. Is it reminding you of grad school? Yes and no. Because in grad school,

there were a lot of things that I didn't want to learn about.

And this one, I'm excited and motivated to learn about it.

But man, it's a lot.

Like I'm reading and researching and learning a lot of information that's going to help me with presentations. And I think the biggest piece here is that while I'm learning a bunch of new stuff,

and I know a lot of people are like, well, you know, she's not in the classroom.

She's learning all these things and she's not in the classroom anymore.

But I'm able to help make connections to the classroom.

And I'm trying to keep in my brain that at the end of the day,

I want to make sure that these teachers understand why in the world this is important to them.
