Today we're headed to Pienza, a small town that I discovered many years ago, thanks to a tour guide that I met in Lombardy.

You see, I always ask our guides where their favourite place is to visit in Italy, and on this occasion, the guide did not skip a beat.

Pianza, she said, without a doubt.

There are countless pretty towns in Tuscany to be sure,

but Pienza is truly beautiful, both inside and out.

And as you'll learn, it was built with exactly these objectives in mind.

I'm thrilled to let you know that Deborah Bresciani, one of our favourite podcast guests,

is back with us today to tell us all about this wonderful town.

Deborah is a local Tuscan who many of you quite wisely have booked for a private tour
