| 0:00.0 | I'm not naming names except it was me, but we came home from a trip to Disney World this year and there was a fruit fly situation. |
| 0:10.5 | Oh no! |
| 0:12.5 | No, it wasn't bad. It was not a terrible fruit fly infestation and it was definitely my fault. |
| 0:23.5 | We have people come and feed the cat so there are at least some people doing basic check on whether there's something disastrous happening in the house when they come in to feed the cat. |
| 0:33.5 | So that's good. It's like check on the house, feed the cat and also make sure that there's nothing. Yeah, we didn't leave a banana on the counter or something. |
| 0:41.5 | Yeah. |
| 0:44.5 | That's banana would be the worst. You'd have to move. |
| 0:49.5 | I don't know because the banana skin is well, you know, maybe you may be right. There are other, we've had other fruits that have rotted in the fruit bowl at the bottom that were worse where I would walk in. |
| 1:00.5 | And you know, they're insidious because you like, you don't really notice it if you're just in the house, but then somebody walks in from out in the world, and out in the fresh air and goes, oh no. |
| 1:10.5 | Where is that coming from? And that's when you discover that there's a rotten nectarine at the bottom of fruit bowl. |
| 1:17.5 | Good. You know, my wife found a good tip. It's one of those like, you don't have to buy anything. It's a use stuff in your own household to solve the problem. |
| 1:26.5 | There's like a woman who had like a whole bunch of those tips. Hands from hell. Yeah, it's from hell. Right. Exactly. I remember as a kid, I didn't know how to pronounce her name. |
| 1:35.5 | She was, she was a letterman guest, wasn't she? She's a letterman a few times. I think she was. |
| 1:41.5 | So I don't know if this actually comes from her, but it's one of those type of tips, but the way to get rid of one way to get rid of fruit flies is to fill a wine glass or two with. |
| 1:50.5 | And the tip says white wine. I don't know if that makes a difference. I doubt it because, but at least let's you see them. |
| 1:57.5 | And then you put a little bit like maybe like an inch of white wine in the glass. And then on the top just drop gently about two drops of disdetergent. |
| 2:09.5 | And then the fruit flies are attracted to the wine, but the disdetergent that floats on top is viscous enough that they can't escape. |
| 2:19.5 | Yeah, we did that. They get nice and drunk. So like you're killing them humanely. |
| 2:26.5 | I think we did that with with vinegar. And we and like a like like a plastic bag where you clip the end of like a ziplock bag and you put it down in the glass with the vinegar below it and they go down and then they can't come back out. |
| 2:39.5 | So that's another like homemade fruit fly trap, but we definitely have done that. |
| 2:48.5 | Anyway, we should get home. We only have we only have limited time and we have six hours. |
| 2:54.5 | Much time is one. Yeah, we have six hours of topics to pack into a two-show as usual. |
