Catching him from behind was Ray Phillips, the rookie linebacker from Nebraska, dragged him down from behind at the 22, and that's where the Packers will put the ball in play as we get things underway. We were talking about that skin part of the infield. We were on that skin part of the infield before the game, and it is absolutely like cement. As a matter of fact, Bob Johnson, the Beng center walked along kicked his toe into it and he said they might as well just pave it. There's going to be some flipping and sliding among the offensive and defensive line down. Now the Packers come out of the huddle with Lindicki, the quarterback, Barty Smith and Eric Tarkelson are the running backs. It'll set the remainder of the offensive and the Bengals defensive lineups for you. Quick fetching a handoff and a slanted over right tackle to Torkelson, and there isn't much rule in there as he's hammered down after a gain of perhaps a yard. Jim Leclair, the middle linebacker, came over to make the stop. The Packers have Ken Payne and Steve Odom as their wide receivers. Rich McGeorge is the tight end. Mark Concar and Dick Heim's to the tackle. Steve Knutson and Mel Jackson, the guards, Larry McCarran is the center. The Bengals across the front of defense have Bacon and Burley at the ends, with Johnson and Edwards at the tackle, Leclair, Harris, Reggie Williams, Riley, Perry, Cobb, and Morgan. Second and I, to handoff around the left side this time sneaking throughinking through comes Party Smith and gets up to the 25-yard line.

His four, he is pinched in and knocked down by Walter Johnson.

So a couple of plays the Packers have made about four yards up to the 25, and now they'll be looking at a third down and about six.

And he's hammered down at about the 42-yard line, Leclair dropped back. They threw under that zone again as San Diego had so much success doing last week.

And again, Jim Leclair has been all over the field on this first series, roamed across from the middle spot, but not until Smith had picked up five to the 46, and it'll be second in five. Hand off Turcles and cuts in over right tackle, and he is really hit by Reggie Williams, lifted right off his feet and dumped at about the 49-yard line. Jorgelson is not a big fella, 6-2-194, and 230-pound Reggie Williams, hit him around the hips and lifted him up and dumped him right about at midfield.
