Hello everyone. Welcome to this episode of Sleep and Relax ASMR. This episode we are learning about the year of 1975.

I don't really have a name for the series so far.

I basically just pick a year and we learn about events, births, deaths about that year.

And you know the idea is like everything else, it's to learn something together and or possibly bore you to the point where you just

prefer to go to sleep so it's really one win-win as I always say.

1975 was a common year starting on Wednesday of the Gregorian calendar,

the 10975th year of the Common Era, CE, and Anno Domini, a D designations, that 975 year of the second millennium, the 75th year of the 20th century,

and the 6th year of the 1970s decade.

It was also declared the International Women's Year by the United Nations

and the European Architectural Heritage Year

by the Council of Europe.

And now we move on to January 1975.

Let's learn about the stuff that happens.

So, undated, Altair 8800 is released, sparking the microcomputer revolution.

Also, during some point in January with no specific date,

Volkswagen introduces the Gulf, its new front-wheel drive economy car in the US and Canada as a Volkswagen

Rabbit.

Now I'll be honest, I've never really enjoyed or liked the name golf for the vehicle but between the option of golf or rabbit

I think I would drive a golf I mean the golf itself is a nice little car for what it does and it's very

sporty and all that but it's just it's always stuck out to me because you know the rest of Volkswagen's lineup you know the Atlas T1 the Jetta you know

They're not it's like if the rest of their lineup were called you know basketball or football or cricket you know or had names along those lines that I understand but

you know anyway I've always found that it sticks out
