Baltimore, Maryland, NFL football as the New York Jets meet the Baltimore Coast.

Good afternoon, everybody.

This is Marty Glickman, welcoming you to our coverage of today's game on the New York Jets Radio Network.

The New York Jets have won the toss, and with the good field conditions today, they've elected to receive.

A couple of lineup changes involving the New York Jets.

Jamie Rivers will not be starting at middle linebacker,

Al Atkinson Will, Emerson Boozer,

nor Hank McLaughlin will start at running back.

They have sprained ankles.

And Mike Adelow, he will be starting at running back alongside of John Riggins.

We also expect that Clarence Jazz Jackson, the rookie from Western Kentucky,

will also be in the lineup.

While we have a moment or two, it's been a great deal of talk from last week to now

about whether or not Joe will be with the ball club next year.

And Dave Herman, who broke the story last week on the pregame show when Joe said he did not think he'd be back with the Jets next year

Dave I wonder whether you've heard anything differently between now and last week well I haven't heard anything differently Marty but I think really that I think Joe will be back next year. I think there's going to be a financial decision his to make,

and I think the owners of the New York Jets are going to make that decision for him.

They're going to give him what he needs to come back and play.

And I say this for a lot of reason.

Number one, they have a great combination going out there now.

They're on a six-game winning streak, and if they win the day, it'll be a six-game winning streak, that they will have won the last six games. Not only that, the New York Jets, you have to remember, cannot play any exhibition games at home. And so their big attraction to get exhibition games where a lot of money is being made is because they have a Joe name. People will give them a game in another stadium, for instance, in Dallas or in a New England Patriots or somebody like that,

they will want to play the New York just because Joe is there.
