Hello, everybody. Welcome to the broadcast of today's game between the Oakland A's and the Boston Red Sox.

Good ball games coming up today. Juan Marischow will be pitching against the Oakland days in regular league competition for the very first time.

The A's abated against him a little bit in spring training over the years when he's with the San Francisco Giants.

But today the money's on the line and big money it might be too.

For the Giants cast off Juan Marischel because the Boston Red Sox look right now to be the strong favorite to win the Eastern Division in the American League and the A's in the West, even though they both have formidable opponents still coming.

Cleveland won their game today, coming from behind to beat the White Sox.

But Kansas City is going to walk.

Milwaukee again today looks like the Royal to won7 of the last eight ballgames,

but still have picked up only two games on the A's,

but that's two pretty big games to pick up,

and that's one week's time, are coming hard now.

They've got an old Eastern Road trip ahead of them,

as do the A's when they get through with this one.

Today, the Red Sox have a record of 62 wins and 51 losses.

The Oakland A's are 67 and 48.

Here at the Oakland Coliseum, as we look out on the field,

we see the A's famous fuel mascot, Charlieo.

Got a couple little kids on him out there and doing his vowing job.
