All right, the Yankees are on the field, and Steve Klein, the last man to walk out.

That's for the mile now.

Steve will be making his fifth start of the season.

He had to miss one turn after pulling something behind his right shoulder.

And I'm sure Bill White that not only you and me, but more particularly, Ralph Halk and pitching coach Jim Turner,

will be watching clients every move, especially early in this fall game.

Steve doesn't feel that that strain shoulder affects his sinker.

And just through his first pitch.

It looks like he's throwing freely.

Remember in Milwaukee, after he threw the pitch and hurt the shoulder,

he pushed the ball up there.

Now, he finished the inning out, and then he had to leave.

Of course, it was cooled up there in Milwaukee that day.

It's cool here tonight.

But Steve just broke off a good breaking ball,

so it looks like he's got least all his pitches.

I think he was a little bit worried about being able to throw the breaking ball.

But he just threw a good breaking ball.

So it looks like Steve Klein's ready.

All right, the KC coaches Harry Dunlop moves into a new position,

coaching at third base, and Charlie Lau, who is also the Kansas City batting coach,

is coaching down at first base.
