Okay, Dave, thank you very much and good afternoon everybody again after a visit with Eddie Brinkman down below and a big two games for both clubs. Tigers, of course, the Kings and the American League East so far have not exactly spread eagle to feel.

They are just a tight game and a half over Baltimore. But they've been up on top most of the time. The Orioles had a brief moment up there,

and the Tigers by and large, though, have been up there most of the year, and are right now the team to beat a tough hitting ball club

that has not hit yet which is something to think about but they've had better

pitching than they were supposed to have and one of the reasons is a fellow out

there in the mound right now, Chuck Selbach.

The ex-darkman Flash who has come out of the bullpen to some starts and relief jobs that have been very effective.

He's seven and five on the year. It's about seven

saves and he has been a big surprise to Billy Martin. Detroit, a game and a half, I had Baltimore and six games up on the Red Sox.

So we'll see what transpires here at Tiger Stadium.

This will be the second start this year for Selbach, the second of his

Major League career.

Tommy Harper leading off,

as Dave told you, a different lineup for the Red Sox.

Tom Timmerman, he said just a moment ago,

I had a muscle pull in the left side of his abdomen,

and that's why he's not in a rotation today.
