game series between the Eastern Divisional titleists, the Baltimore Orioles, and the Western Division champion, Oakland A's, is ready to be played under ideal weather condition.

And from the city of Baltimore, that is a very exciting kind of a statement for us to be able to make.

Even the most moderate of baseball fans

certainly must be aware of the fact

that Baltimore has had a most unusual

baseball season weather-wise,

not to mention the astounding accomplishments

of their championship Orioles on the field.

This morning in Baltimore, the sun broke through

at a field that has taken a tremendous pounding from weather and the field. This morning in Baltimore, the sun broke through.

Is this Sunday afternoon in Baltimore in as good a shape as we have seen it in a long time?

And if there are kudos to be handed out this Sunday afternoon in Baltimore,

certainly a gentleman by the name of Pat Santorone, and the able members of his ground crew, a ground crew, deserve nothing but a tremendous vote of thank you from all baseball fans,

and more particularly the players of the Oakland A's and the Baltimore Orioles.

The umpires have already taken the field.

The lineup cards have been exchanged.

The ground rules long since have been discussed.

And for those of you who perhaps may not be aware of the batting orders,
