Well, it's a warm one today. The Dodgers and the San Diego Padres meeting for the final time in San Diego Stadium, and it's hot. The temperature should get around the 90 to 100 degree mark here for the ball game this afternoon. The pitches will be left-hander, Claude Osteen, and right-hander Steve Arland. This is the final meeting of the year for the two clubs in San Diego.

They have a two-game series later in the week in Los Angeles on Wednesday and Thursday.

The Dodgers have won seven in a row here in San Diego and are now trying to sweep the series from the Padres and all of the ball games played here.

The umpires now will hold their meeting at home plate.
