And we're getting ready for the second game of the double-headed between the New York Yankees and the Detroit Tigers.

Tigers won a rather lackluster opening ball game, but it had a little more lust around us for the Tigers than to the Yankees because they won it by a final score of two to one. There was no scoring

in the game after the fifth inning. The Tiger scored first in the third with two-outs

Mickey Stanley tripled and scored on a while pitch. Yankees tied it up with the third. Gene

Michael single, Salomier sacrificed in the second, andurman Munson came through with a base head. Tigers got the winning run on the fifth inning on a double by Stanley. He went to third on a groundball of first by K-Line and scored on a sacrifice fly by Jim Northrop. Yankees had two hits from Johnny Ellers, his last hit coming in the fourth inning,

and that was the last hit for the New York Yankees. The closest they came, the tie in the ballgame

was Roy White, long line drive that Kline loped back and caught just above the fence in right field,

and that was in the sixth inning, and the last ten men in a row went down

as the winning pitcher was the left-hander for the Detroit Tigers might kill Kenny and

Mel Stallemeyer the loser two runs eight hits for the Detroit Tigers in one run and four hits
