Good afternoon, everyone. This is Bob Gameir along with Phil Rizzuto and Frank Messer from

Robin F. Kennedy Stadium in Washington, D.C. And this afternoon it's the third game, a rubber game

in this three-game series between the New York Yankees and the Washington Senators.

And so far in this series we've got a couple of pitchers duels. The first game won by the Washington Senators by a score of 2- one as Dick Bozden best at Steve Klein and then in

last night's ball game the Yankees won it three to nothing as Stan

Benson was the winner over Jim Schellenbach.

Last night's final score, 3 to 1, the Yankees winning it.

Getting 3 runs in the top of the 8th inning,

and the Senators coming back with a home run

by Bernie Allen in the bottom half of the ninth inning.

It was the lead-off battle at the bottom of the ninth inning and the home run

Chase Stan Johnson, but Lindy McDaniel came on to get the Senate to one two, and end the ball game.

So it's all even one game of peace in this series.
