Hello everyone, welcome back and welcome to the History of England, episode 197, the story

of Henry VII.

I have spoken many times of the network I belong to, a Gora podcast network.

Now I've done this episode ahead of time and therefore do not know what our featured

It has now become customary to start each new reign with something of a historiography

of the new monarch.

Since we are all now after close to 200 episodes, surely good many of the lists now.

We know that customs are the lifeblood of a conservative world and extraordinary innovation

is to be resisted.

And so this is what this episode will be.

What history has said about Henry VII?

It is equally part of our laws and customs to consult the great oracles of history.

The original 1968 version of the Ladybird Kings and Queens of England from the glorious

town of Loughborough.

And Salar and Yectman's noble, 1066 and all that.

So I have visited the vaults here underneath the shed.

It's been a while since I've been there, so I cleared away the cobwebs, invoked the

deities and entered the code.
