with Chapter 19. Welcome to the Bible Study podcast. I'm your host, Chris Christensen.

We are wrapping up Revelation rather

quickly. We have one more day of bad news, and that is today. And then next week is the

aftermath. And so today we're going to deal with judgment. We're going to start in Revelation

19, verse 11. I saw heaven standing open and before me was a white horse whose writer is called faithful and true.

With justice he judges and wages war.

His eyes are like blazing fire and on his head are many crowns.

He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself.

He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the word of God.

The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses, dressed in fine linen, white and clean.

Coming out of his mouth is a sharp sword with which to strike down the nations.

He will rule them with an iron scepter. He treads the

winepress of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty. On his robe and on his thigh, he has the name

written, King of kings and Lord of Lords. When we see Jesus in the New Testament, when we see

him in the Gospels, we see someone who is kind to children.

We see someone who hangs out with the outcast. And we don't see the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings.

And this is him revealed in that way here at the end of Revelation, that Jesus is the son of God,

that Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and before him

every knee will bow. And that is where this world is heading. So this end of this chapter and

the next chapter really are the trajectory where we're going. And we don't live our lives, I think, of many days with the understanding

that the world is heading in this direction, that at some point, the Son of God, at some point,
