All right, welcome back to Day 4 as we talk about God's original intent

for man. Genesis chapter two, beginning of verse 18, what we're going to find is God gave

three things for Adam to have dominion over. One, he gave him work to enjoy, he gave him will

to obey, and then thirdly, he gave him a woman to love.

Verse 18 of chapter 2. It says, then the Lord God said, it is not good that man should be alone.

This is the first not good thing we've ever seen in the Bible. It says, I will make a helper fit for him.

That word helper is a zaire, okay? Equal in value, for sure. But how many of you know that men need help?

Verse 19, it says, now, out of the ground, the Lord God had formed every beast of the field and

every bird of the heavens and brought them to the man to see what he would call them.

And whatever the man called, every living creature, that was its name. The man gave names to all

the livestock and to the birds of the heavens and to every beast of the field. But for Adam, there was not

found a helper fit for him. And so the Lord God calls a deep sleep to fall upon the man. And while he

slept, he took one of his ribs and he closed up its place with flesh.

And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man, he made into a woman and brought her to the man.

And then the man said, this at last is, bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh, she shall be called woman because she was taken out of man.

Therefore, man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become
