Don Drysdale on the microphone here. It's Don Drysdale's day, and there have been many dignitaries,

including the governor of the state, Ronald Reagan, out here to honor down and down as making his speech right now.

We may be able to pick up those words, can we, Chuck?

Well, unfortunately we're not able to really pick up, but Don and his wife Ginger.

Being honored here today, and as we say, many celebrity guests, his teammates,

members of, his teammates on the championship ball clubs, the 56, 1963, 1965,, 1965, 1966.

They have been out here to honor the guy's elder, John Newcomb, Jim Gilliam, Tom Hauer,

gave him a plaque for the present ball club

for his 58 and two-thirds

hitting to scoreless baseball.

Also,

Morrie Wills

came out

to honor him.

So,

Drysdale has

certainly gained a whole group of gifts out of here today

and Jimmy Davenport said that he thinks Drydell should give him at least part of them

because of the fact that he thinks that he helped Drysdale's career as much as anybody

having to face him with a bat in his hand.
