here in the Astrodome, we had the playing of the national anthem with a very fine picture in the background on the screen in center field,

depicting the story of the astronauts landing on the moon while the anthem was being played.

So quite a very appropriate and timely film as the anthem is played here, especially in Houston,

home of the astronauts and the Space Center, and the ball club, of course, named the Astros.

Wilson warming up now on the scoreboard, this afternoon, the New York Mets swept Montreal 4-0 and maintained their first place position

in the National League East.

Tonight at Philadelphia, the Cubs and the Phillies are tied at 1-1, they have played three innings.

San Diego and Cincinnati no score at the end of an inning in the half, and San Francisco,

Atlanta no score at the end of one inning of play half, and San Francisco Atlanta no score at the end of one inning of play.

As we begin play now, the Dodgers and the Astros are tied for fourth,

each two games away.

And we're all set.
