Well, it is, Lou, and we've come up here now in spring training, I think, in the best physical

condition since I've been with the Cubs.

themselves personally are an A1 health, and if they're not ready to go now, they never will be.

We had a tough break, as you mentioned,

in Adolfo Phillips's injury, and yet it's given you an opportunity to look at a youngster who has the ability of playing Major League Baseball, talking about Don Young. Well, of course, Don Young can do everything in the outfield. Defensively, he's as good as anybody. He can go get the ball and he's got a good arm.

He covers a lot of ground.

He's intelligent out there.
