Going back over the first six games, I think we'll have to agree everybody that the heroes have been pretty standard.

Yes, they have, Jim. I think four men have dominated the series, and it's been the two big pitchers today, Lonborg and Gibson.

But other than that, Lou Brock for the Cardinals and Cardiff-Stremski for Boston have been the dominant factors in the series.

Lou Brock is, as like I said, he has just been a complete offensive threat.

He's the leading hitter in the series, I think, and just you can't say enough about the job

Brock has done, but as you say, when it comes down to a seventh game, the hero of today's game could very well be the hero of the series,

and it doesn't necessarily have to be one of these two, Brock or Yostrmsky or even a Lomborg or Gibson.

I think a lot depends on what happens during the game today.

For Boston, I guess yesterday everybody helped a little bit,

but Boston seems like they go when Estremski hits. The ballgames he's hit and hit hard and driven in runs,

they've won. The ballgames where he either hasn't hit or his hits, don't haven't seemed like they meant too much.

They've gotten beat in those ball games. You can't say enough for Yostrowski.

You can't say enough for either of these two ball gloves, I guess.

Yostrowski's been great on defense.

Yesterday, he made a fine play on a ball.

The Macarver hit in what could have been a very big inning for the Cardinals.

Macarver hit that ball. Eventually, the Cardinals loaded the bases. If it hadn't been for that catch,

they might have gotten a few runs there. You never know. That one out is a big out. I've seen

five, six runs score after two are out. And you have to say that that's a big play also

Gibson I'm sure have come as no surprise at all to you and I'm not asking you about a

surprise of the Boston Red Sox but has there been anything surprising to you in the first six games
