Welcome to the fifth game of the 1967 World Series.

The St. Louis Cardinals have an edge of three games to one.

And the forecast this morning was again for cloudy, cool weather.

But the weatherman was thrown another curveball

today as it turned out to be a very sunny and nice day. Well, Peewey Reese, you've been through

World Series competition before. You know the task that's facing the Boston Red Sox today

and the pressure that they must feel knowing that they have got to win all the rest of the way in order to become the champions while the Cardinals have a chance to finish it up at home. So what is your reaction to this afternoon's game?

Well, Ken, after talking to both the Cardinals and the Red Sox, the Cardinals definitely have that old momentum, as we say.

They think they're going to finish it here today.

The Red Sox in the American League, no one gave a chance to win it.

They were 100 to 1 odds.

They came on to win it.

No one thought they could win that game on Saturday and Sunday up in Boston when they played the Minnesota Twins. They won that. Being down three games to one in the World Series history, only three

other teams have come back to win the series. If anyone can do it, Ken, I guess the Boston

Red Sox didn't do it. Well, we'll see what happens, and the burden will fall on the broad shoulders of a young man

warming up down in the left field corner, Jim Longborg, who will be opposed by Cardinal left-hander Steve Carlton.
