In this episode, we're going to be talking about the year that England won the World Cup,

which was 1966.

Every time England playing a major tournament, the year of 1966 is spoken about over and over and over again.

However, 1966 was a long time ago. What actually happened in that tournament? Who did England play?

What were the stories from the year that England won the World Cup? That is what we're

about to find out. So, the 1966 World Cup was held in England and it was the eighth World Cup

tournament to be played. England were in Group 1 with some solid teams.

They shared a group with Uruguay, France and Mexico, all very good teams.

However, they were really on form.

In fact, England didn't have a single goal scored against them in the group stages.

They drew 0-0 with Uruguay, they beat Mexico 2-0, and then they
