Well, good morning, beautiful. Welcome to a brand new day of life. Happy Friday, my friends. Oh,

what a good day it is to get to be alive. Hey, some of you were searching for the podcast episode

for Thursday and you're like, oh, I guess she didn't record one. I did record one. There was actually

an error in the upload and we didn't realize it till late last

night. So if you missed yesterday's episode, it was a really powerful episode. We don't want you

to miss it. In fact, today I talk a little bit about what we talked about yesterday. So if you

missed the previous episode, it's there now. It's just like 12 hours late, but it's there for you.

Okay, let's do today. The title of today's episode of the Big Life Devotional podcast is,

Get Over Yourself. When did life become all about us? Like really, how have we made this about ourselves? It is so easy to

insert myself into every situation and when it's about me, is it really about Jesus anymore? The Holy Spirit working within us leads us to think

little of self and much of Jesus. The less I think about me, the more I am available to be guided

by God's spirit to end up precisely where he wants me to be.

But me constantly thinking about myself really gets in the way.

A few years ago, I came face to face with one of the most humble human beings who simply showed me how to get over myself.

He showed me how to get out of my own head and into the will of God, how to overcome the little voice that tells me I can't and lean into the voice that says,

Pamela, this is so much bigger than you, and you're being invited to be part of that.

His name is Jim.

He was the owner of a little coffee hut along the road on the way to the North Shore in Oahu.

His hut was nestled among the food trucks selling fresh scampy shrimp and pineapple smoothies

surrounded by bees and wild yellow canaries and palm trees.
