It's happy to hear that you can be back as manager next year.

Yes, that's true.

I have received many many telegrams of friends that have been told for me most all my life and from a baseball

standpoint since you know that are interested in my years as a player and i would say a managerial

career i'd have to say that that was for a number of people that are elderly, that had seen me play baseball,

and also saw that I was rather successful as a manager a number of years.

You never lose your enthusiasm for the game. You get older, like everybody else, gets older too,

for that matter, but you never lose your zest, Casey. Well, no, I feel healthy enough. I'm strong enough. I'm quick enough.

If you feel all right, you ought to stay managing, and if you are a man that doesn't feel

well, you shouldn't stay managing in the major leagues. You should decide, let somebody else do it because a well man always does a better job.

Casey, going into a series like this with one of the teams fighting for a pennant, do you give you a team any pep talk before the series started?

Well, I did the first day.

We went over the hitters.

And actually, you should do that.

You should try to win every day that you've been in the leg.

And up to this year, we've had so many difficulties to play a number of the teams.
