four over the regulation campaign in the American League and Hodges representing

Los Angeles is the veteran.

Johnny won 14 and lost four for the Dodgers.

Poggi's has a good curve ball, a good fastball, a change-up, and has a lot of savvy that comes with being a veteran

pitcher.

Downing has idolized Whitey Ford throughout his boyhood and more or less patterned his pitching along with that of his idle

Whitey. A downing throws a fastball that moves when he's going very well it'll move down and he also has a little bit of a screwball plus a good curve.

He has good control and a fine kickoff move to first base.
