Well, the New York Yankee today with a chance to push the pennant.

That's yesterday, as we recall, we went into this one with, let's see, a four-game magic number. That Chicago lost yesterday, and the New York Yankees won, although it took them some time to do it, as you'll recall. Magic number is now down to two. In the American League, the other games that the Yankees be concerned with today, of course, the big one is Chicago against Cleveland, Baltimore be playing at Washington, Kansas City be playing at Detroit, some cloudy weather around the league, but they expect to get all these games in.

Over in the National League, St. Louis against Chicago, Pittsburgh at Milwaukee, San Francisco at Los Angeles,

in Philadelphia, Cincinnati.

And despite the fact that Milwaukee beat Pittsburgh yesterday

well St. Louis couldn't do themselves

any good and they lost to Chicago

so Pittsburgh's magic number is won today

and they can do it all by themselves without any

help from anybody else in the National League.
