All right everybody Turkey season is right around the corner. This is our last week

I guess in the off-season time frame. We're starting up down in Mississippi

I think we're heading there probably starting the end of this weekend

Work our way down there and then be down there for the opener and then just working our way north turkey tour in the country

So I'd wanted to call everybody from the group and just talk for 15 minutes or so about

What everybody's excited about as far as where we're going any new gear that may be used or new strategies that

We may be putting into place this season as always too

We kind of go out on some side tangents and talk a little bit about calling strategy

The difference between not using decoys and using decoys and some of the unique challenges that we face when we hit different parts of the country

I think that a red dot is the best choice for a turkey gun. They're durable

They offer a good field of view and at realistic turkey shooting distances

They're generally isn't a need for magnification. They also can be pretty handy in awkward situations

where you can't get your face down on the gun

Maybe as well as you'd like maybe the turkey comes in at a different angle

But in a nice part about those red dots is you don't have to be as perfectly lined up as you would have to be with the bead

As long as that dots on the turkey's head you're probably gonna knock them down
