As an ill-conceived heist, by an out-of-work dance teacher, swim an instructor and a trainee football coach, with a robbery having backfired.

There'd no plan B.

Expecting a payout of 20 to 30,000 to 30,000 pounds, a quarter of a million pounds today, they had made just 220

quid, of which they had to refund 10 pounds to their increasingly knocked fence.

The stockbroker was broke. His bank account was deeply in debt.

His wife's mini was unsellable.

And all that was left was a four-year-old lancier.

Split in their minuscule hall.

and Ray got the brakes of his dodgy car fixed.

But now they risked lengthy prison sentences

for robbery, fraud and kidnapping.
