Well, strictly from a player's viewpoint, we feel that one base hit in either ball game or even a fly ball in either ball game, the game might have gone the other way.

We ran into magnificent pitching, a terrific defensive ball club.

Even though I must say, for our own pitcher, I think our pitches were as good as anything we saw from the Giants. We just didn't get the runs that the Giants did. They capitalized more on opportunities than we. I was like the Olympic game yesterday. Well, how about that little Ant-Anelly? Johnny has come a long way since I saw in this spring, and he certainly deserves the reputation that we've received that we've heard about him. Johnny certainly is one of the of the final left-handers in the game. He certainly as good as anything we've seen in our league. Did you hit against him in the All-Star game? Yes, I did. How'd you do? Well, I think John had a bad day, and by the grace of the... I was hate of that. You hit the home runs. You hit two home runs in the outside. Yes, I did. Now, what happened yesterday with a man on second base? Well, I think Johnny was just a better pitcher yesterday. Maybe I was a worse hitter. I don't know. But Johnny fooled me yesterday. I certainly wasn't looking for a fastball with a man on Saturday time run on second base. Al, didn't he throw you two fastballs? Yes, he did. He got one up around my letters, which I think is my long ball, the fastball up, and then he got another one right down around my knees, and I should have been swinging, Frank. Say, Al, you know, we've been hearing so much about playing in a certain ballpark. Do you think a ballpark makes any difference? No, I really don't. I think that sometimes a ballpark looks funny to you when you first walk in it, but most fellas have been around in the big league for a few years. It managed to see most of the ballpark. Now, our club has seen the polo grounds. We've played numerous exhibition games there at the end of our spring training season.
