blowing diagonally across the diamond and going out from behind first base.

Right this very minute, the crowd has come in here to Shire Park in anticipation of baseball

being played between the Cleveland Indians and the homestanding Philadelphia Athletics under Jimmy Dikes.

And it is, as you know now, under Jimmy Dikes.

Because Connie Mack has now appointed Jimmy Dikes, his first lieutenant.

And Jimmy Dikes has been given practically the running all the Philadelphia athletics for the rest of the season.

So Jimmy Dykes will lead his Philadelphia athletics out here to entertain Lou Pruz, Cleveland Indins.

And we're expecting quite an affair here this afternoon.

The crowd is sitting in quiet anticipation, as the groundkeepers right this minute,

are wetting down the infield,

preparatory to getting this game underway.

The bright, brilliant skies here this afternoon in Philadelphia, with just a few of those white, fleecy clouds.

It's interdispersed up in that blue, and we're just about ready to get this game underway.
