All right, Christmas is right around the corner, and it's got me thinking about all the different toys that I experienced in my childhood growing up.

Childhood toys. And I want to know what some good ones were for you because i mean

obviously i'm going to tell you about the he man that had the damage on his breastplate go ahead

you go first this is so open-ended i'm almost overwhelmed by the paradox of choice uh gi joe i really

liked all the gi joes there's so many little dudes and you collect them all,

and they all came with little status cards. Did you have G.I. Joe's growing up?

Heck yeah, I had G.I. Joe's. Did you not? No. No, I didn't have G.I. Joe's. Really? No, I went to people's houses that had G.I. Joes. I didn't have G.I. Jo's.

I didn't have many toys that you would see the commercials of. Were your parents opposed

to G.I. Joe? No. No, I don't think they were. It's just not a thing we did. I don't know.

It was weird. That's why I wanted to talk to you about this. But you wanted them. Wait a minute, but you wanted them. Oh, absolutely. And you liked them. Yeah. Okay, but you're talking about that the way people would talk about a Nintendo. Not, some families were morally opposed to Nintendo's like mine, I guess. My parents didn't want me to have one. They wanted me to go outside. They thought that as soon as they put an electronic device that I could play with all the time in front of me, that's all I would want to do.

And they wanted me to go do the childhood where I ride bikes until it gets dark and go explore the little ponds and sloughs and creeks in the neighborhood and fish for craw dads and explore the woods.

And that was my childhood.

But they were right because any of my friends who had a Nintendo it was over man I would go there my parents thought I was outside

doing kid things but I was over there playing Zelda or Metroid or whatever because it was

enchanting so we never could get one of those and so I was a kid who would say, no, I don't have

a Nintendo. But I got a couple friends who do. And I go over there and I play Nintendo at their

place. That's like 250 bucks. And then it was like 50 bucks for every game. You're talking about

that like GI Joe guys the same way. And those are $3 a pop. I don't get it I don't understand the barrier to entry that

kept you from being a G.I. Joe kid. I don't know. I, we just didn't do it. I remember going to my

mom had a friend and you know how it is like when your mom has a friend you end up playing with that

kid. You don't really like you're not really. Yeah, whether you like it or not. Yeah, you're not really friends with that kid. In fact, you might think he's a punk, but you end up playing with a kid.

Kid's name's usually Kyle. No, no, I know his name. Uh, okay, it just seemed like a good guess.
