we bring you a word picture in play-by-play report of the fourth and thus far most crucial game in the

1994 baseball championship series.

This is Don Dunphy speaking for Bill Corum and Bill Slater.

This is the sixth consecutive year that the Gillette Safety Razor Company

has broadcast the World Series.

For your further enjoyment throughout the year, it brings you spot broadcasts of other outstanding sports events,

such as the Kentucky Derby, all-star baseball games, and football ball games, plus the

top flight boxing show over many of these same stations every Friday night.

Well, as you know by now, the St Louis Browns managed by Luke Sewall are in the driver's seat, leading by two games to one but the men of Billy

Southworth the Cardinals are out to even things up this afternoon. Today it's going to be

left-handed Harry Burkin who has won 16 and lost 5 during the regular campaign for the Cardinals, and right-handed

Segment Jack, Jack Cookie, J-A-K-I, who had a mark of 13 the victory, and nine defeats in the regular campaign in the

American League for the Browns.

Recapping for a moment the three previous games, the Brownies moved out in front on

Wednesday taking the first game by a score of 2-1,

with Denny Gale House the winning pitcher and Mort Cooper of the Cardinals the loser.

The second contest found the Cardinals evening things up, also a one-run victory.

The Cardinals' three, the Browns' two.
