And Kirby Higby, the old fireballer, is going to pitch this afternoon for the Brooklyn Dodgers. I think the most important news today is that Billy Herman is not going to play. Billy Herman, you know, yesterday went out of the ball game with a strained muscle in his left side, and is not going to play today. In this place, Coscorite will be at

second base. We're happy to say, and I think that you'd all like to know now, that Pruddy Fitzs

Simmons was not seriously injured. In fact, he is here in uniform today, but there's a very, very

little chance that we'll see any more of Fitz in this series. Fitz was severely bruised, but there was no fracture,
