Hello everybody and welcome to the show. Thanks for spreading the word about

stand-up science. We had a successful test run of eight shows. We had

fantastic results, some unexpected results, some cities that did stronger and weaker than others, and

it's still a small sample size, but it was enough to know that the show is going to be a real hit,

and we're taking it all around the country next year.

Right now I'm planning on we're reassessing things a little bit rather than starting

the quarterly shows right away, some of the things we need to get more data

basically so we're going to spread out and do more shows all around the country and still

try to get back to start a regular, maybe triannually show in the cities.

As promised, if it doesn't happen in 2019 to make something a quarterly show in those it will happen in 2020. We're kind

of zeroing in on the markets letting the markets decide where the show is going

to be the most popular and again if you're unfamiliar

you're just tuning in stand-up sciences is is me hosting a live one of a kind

experience it's you can't stream it any hosting, live, live, one of a kind experience.

You can't stream it anywhere, nothing like that.

You have to go out, you have to see it live, live entertainment,

remember it?

We're bringing it back. It's gonna be be me hosting. I'm going to introduce an academic

to do a 15 minute talk, then a local comic to do their most surreal material, and then another

academic to do a 15-minute talk.

And then that's the first half of the show.

The second half of the show is a panel discussion with me, the two academics, and the other comic led by you the audience guided by your questions
