My name is Taylor Rockwell, and this week we're taking it to the courts, the futsal courts.

We're talking football. Graham Ruffman is with it to the courts, the futsal courts. We're talking

footsall. Graham Ruffman is with me to do so in honor of this topic. Graham's recording from a

Thank you, Taylor Rockwell. I usually, peep behind the curtain here, I usually have an actual

football under the desk when we're recording and I will play with the football with my feet. It's a, it's a heavier ball today. It's not bouncing as high. So yeah, I went out and bought a futsal. Footsole ball. As always with me hosting, we're just going to go right off on a tangent immediately. How do you have a ball into your desk and not knock stuff over, not separate cords? Like, I feel like I have so many chords running underneath my feet that I could disconnect at any given moment. I've just got an excellent first touch, Taylor. That's Phil Fodenessk. I am assuming then that your chords are much better organized than my own. Not now, they're not. No, so I know it looks very much like I have, I mean, I do have the same background, but I'm actually in a new house talking to you today, and there are cables everywhere, and yeah, it's a bit of a mess. So my first touch is going to have to be, forget Phil Foden, it's going to have to be Leon O'Messie-esque today to avoid knocking something down. Was the self-contained futsal court in the house part of the selling point, or was it sort of like, in addition to all the other perks for buying the new home? Oh, we asked for it to be put in. That's why we only moved in a week before Christmas, as they took so long to put in the futsal court. It was really unacceptable, actually. You never know, man. Because with a futsal court, it's a smaller thing, as we're going to talk about. So you could fit it in there. Who needs that second bedroom, Graham, put in a futsal court? Let's talk the actual sport of futsal, shall we? It's a soccer style sport for those unaware, played on a hard surface. That is sort of the gist of the matter. Graham, what would be the primary differences that you know between futsal and soccer?

Yeah, so first of all, I think even if you don't know that name, Footsall, I think most people

who have played soccer at some point in their life, if you're a soccer person, you'll probably

have played a form of footsol, even if they didn't play by the FIFA recognized rules. Like, for example, I used to play indoor soccer as a kid or a teenager when it was bad weather outside, and it would be a mix of soccer in footsall because I always remember the ball being full size. And maybe you won't know what I'm talking about here, Taylor, but it was always like a large tennis ball. It was like a full-sized football, but it was a furry ball. Yeah, it had the fuzz on it, yeah. You just brought me back to like middle school and elementary school physical education. Yes, I remember that ball now. I have no idea what that was. The Grinch. The shaved Grinch. A shaved Grinch ball, yes, exactly what it was. But it was genuinely like a giant tennis ball.

And obviously that's not a futsal ball because a footsoll ball is smaller and actually a bit heavier so it doesn't bounce as high.

But we did borrow some of the futsal rules like not being able to play the ball above head height,

which I'm sure a lot of people listening to this, if you played soccer at any level, will be familiar with those rules. And there are a number of big differences

with normal soccer, comparing the two. Futsal, you can only have five players on the court at any

one time. Teams can replace their goalkeeper with what's known as a flying goalkeeper. I

didn't know this until doing the research here. But that's basically an
