Thank you, ladies, gentlemen, good afternoon from the Comiskey Park,

at home of the White Sox in Chicago, where the White Sox in Philadelphia Athletics are about to play the third game of this present four-game series.

Usually at this time, we meet you from the playing field with an interview with one of the ball players or some of the sports celebrity.

But today I'm going to change things a little and for a very serious reason.

Over the weekend, here in Chicago, we had a very turbulent and hectic baseball series, as all of us must remember.

It was sad on Saturday, but a reach the climax on Sunday, when on Bill Summers was spelled by a bottle thrown by a thoughtless, criminally careless spectators.

Many people might think it a good idea to let all this drop.

Not to put that it at it, remember,, but stop talking about something many days old.

That would be all right, maybe, except that some of his insist on keeping the matter alive

and I'm trying to print it on everyone from the radio announcer to the poor jet who gets his

penny or so commission for selling soft drinks and the ballpark.

One of us to call it with morning papers yesterday, printed an interview of Mr. William

Harris, present to the American League.

Now I consider Willen-R.H. one of my best friends in baseball and the credits the game in every
