throwback episode. Probably played this two or three times over the years, and I like to play it because

she introduces a concept that I think everybody would be well served to learn about,

understand, and become more conscious of when it comes to

yourself talk and the words that you use and the way that you perceive the things

that happen in your life. and it comes from a book called

Learned Optimism by Dr. Martin Seligman I believe I highly recommend you read

that book it is a life changer because he introduces the concept of your

explanatory style. So when things happen to you, how do you explain them to yourself in your head?

How do you speak about them as well?

Because that is the determining factor as to whether you have a pessimistic attitude or an optimistic attitude.

And if you're going through life with a pessimistic attitude, it is really hard to create the life that you want, because you're always looking at things through a pessimistic

lens, right? And the three peas, and I'll encourage you to read the book to understand these more,

are permanence, pervasiveness, and personalization.

And so when you really tune into those three ps, when considering yourself talking the way that

you speak, it just sheds an entire

light on why you see life the way you do and why your life is the way it is and again

the book is called Learned optimism

by Dr. Martin Seligman.
