Yo, today's Q-O-D is, if you don't have a story, you don't have to live up to it.

Here we go. So, Welcome back to the quote of the day show. I'm your host Sean Croxton and

Sean Croxton. We got Dr Wayne Dyer on the show today and today Dr Dyer is going to encourage us to let go of our personal stories.

Now one of my favorite books is called How We Change by Ross Ellenhorn and he breaks down these 10

reasons people don't change and I want to say it's number six is we are

unwilling to let go of our personal narratives.

Like we can't imagine who we would be without our personal narratives about things that have happened to us

in the past. Like that's scary for us like just to let that go. It's like oh my God who am I without that story?

And what I see in my experience and you know talking to people and reading my comments on

Instagram is so many of us are living our lives

staring in the rearview mirror staring at things that happen that are behind

us. Sometimes they're so far behind us.

Sometimes they're so far behind us

that they didn't even happen to us.

And history is important, and the rearview mirror

is important, but it's also important to live life staring through the windshield, like looking ahead.

And it doesn't mean that what happened in the past didn't happen. It just means that life is

to be lived moving forward and if we keep holding on to things from a long time ago

I'm not sure how much progress we can make so I encourage you to ask

yourself that question is like who would I be without my personal story how is my

personal story about my past holding me back in my present

and keeping me from living into a compelling exciting successful future?
