The New Beverly Cinema presents the Pure Cinema Podcast. My name is Brian Sauer, and I have joined, of course, by the delightful Mr. Elwood Kane. Mr. Kane, we're doing a decade thing again.

0:21.8

We are.

0:22.4

We have season by season, which if you listen to this show long enough,

0:26.1

you'll realize it just means year by year.

0:27.9

We have been going from the 2000s.

0:30.2

We started, I believe, with 2,000 cult movies.

0:32.6

Going back and looking at cult movies inspired by Danny Perry's books,

0:36.9

obviously,

1:22.0

Oh, yeah.

1:22.6

Pre-30, pre-1934, Hayes Code and Post are quite different. I think almost all of mine ended up being

1:30.2

in the pre, which isn't surprising that I would be gravitating towards that. But, you know,

1:35.4

fascinating time period and something we're both pretty passionate about, like just losing ourselves

1:40.1

in just as viewers. Yeah, we were talking about how it's a nice time to be looking back at this

1:45.1

decade in particular, just in terms of like right now, like, it just feels good to immerse
