Katrina Steele.

She is a senior scientist and director of the Swallowing Rehabilitation Research Laboratory

at the KITE Research Institute, the research arm of the

Toronto Rehabilitation Institute University Health Network.

She also holds an appointment as professor in the Department of Speech Language Pathology Rehabilitation

Sciences Institute, Temerty Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto.

Professor Steele is known for her commitment to pursuing theoretically-driven research that will underpin

clinical practice with sound empirical evidence.

She holds research funding from the National Institutes of Health in the United States.

Professor Steele is a current counselor on the Board of Directors for the Dysphasia Research Society,

an associate editor for the Dysphasia Journal and founding the current board member of

the International Dysphasia Diet Standardization Initiative.
