📜 TODAY'S SCRIPTURE: John 14:18-24

¹⁸“I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. ¹⁹Yet a little while and the world will see me no more, but you will see me. Because I live, you also will live. ²⁰In that day you will know that I am in my Father, and you in me, and I in you. ²¹Whoever has my commandments and keeps them, he it is who loves me. And he who loves me will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and manifest myself to him.”²²Judas (not Iscariot) said to him, “Lord, how is it that you will manifest yourself to us, and not to the world?” ²³Jesus answered him, “If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him. ²⁴Whoever does not love me does not keep my words. And the word that you hear is not mine but the Father's who sent me.

0:16.4	How are you doing this morning? This is Carrie Green from the Live Build Change website and podcast and this is the Morning Mindset edition of the podcast. If you don't know what Morning Mindset is all about
0:21.3	it is really just a way for us to join together around the
0:25.4	truth of God's word to encourage ourselves with that truth, to set our minds
0:31.6	according to that truth so that we can live according to that truth.
0:36.0	It's foundational to building anything with the life that God has given you,
0:41.0	that you're able to live an authentic integrated life that honors Jesus and magnifies
0:48.6	his truth and that's why the morning mindset is a daily thing.
0:53.8	We have to do this every day of our lives, don't we?
0:56.8	It's a discipline.
0:57.6	It's a practice of getting our minds in the right place.
1:01.4	And we've been looking at the Gospel of John chapter 14 and Jesus in
1:07.0	verse 18 has just promised to his disciples that he would not leave them as
1:12.3	orphans but he would come back on the day he comes back to life
1:17.1	He would let them know that he is in the father and that they are in him and that he is in them.
1:25.0	And he says in verse 21,
1:27.0	whoever has my commandments and keeps them,
1:30.0	he it is who loves me.
1:32.0	Now he's not saying you're proving that you love him or you're actually loving him by keeping the commandments.
1:39.0	He's saying that your love
1:45.0	because of your respect for the person you're loving. Because of your respect for the person you're loving.
1:48.0	So in this case, because we love Jesus,
1:51.0	we respond in obedience.
