learn even more. Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be one of the

disciples of Jesus when he was alive on this earth. Jesus had chosen 12 disciples to train and

teach in the ways of the kingdom of God and they went everywhere with Jesus. They followed

him, helped him,

listen to him, obeyed him, and learned from him. Sometimes they were even

confused by him. But for three years the disciples ministered with Jesus

and traveled with him all throughout Israel.

One day Jesus came to his own country, the region from where he had grown up and his disciples

followed him, and when the Sabbath had come he began to

teach in the synagogue and many hearing him were astonished saying where did this man

get these things and what wisdom is this which is given to him that such mighty

works are performed by his hands? Is this not the carpenter, the son of Mary and brother of James, Joseph, Judas, and Simon, and are not his sisters here with us?

So they were offended at him.

They had watched Jesus grow up from the time he was a young boy. They knew him as a child and here he was

teaching and preaching to them about the ways of God. So Jesus said to them a
