Politics isn't politics.

Yes, politics isn't politics.

Here's what we mean.

For years, I've been talking about the danger of politics in an organization.

And I often define politics as saying things for effect.

Like when people say something, not because they really believe it, but

they want to get some reaction out of somebody or get something done, but they're not

being honest.

Now I've been thinking a lot about politics lately, seeing it play out in various organizations

and that we work with.

And so I thought we might want to talk about it on the podcast today.

So I looked up the definition because I thought, I wonder what the root word in politics is.

I wonder if dishonesty is in there or something like that.
