On November 12, 1995, Brenda Ways' body was discovered behind a dumpster in Dartmouth,

With a solid alibi, the initial investigation cleared her ex-boyfriend, Glen Assoon, of

Police both disregarded and hid that evidence, though, choosing to stay with a course they

knew was a farce, and Glen spent over 16 long, miserable years behind bars until Innocence

Canada was able to unearth that detail and spring Glen from prison.
