My scent of the day today is Enprue lequide from Estier de Villate.

And if you were in spooky smoke club this month, you already know it.

This was a scent where the moment I smelled it, I was like, okay, I need to do an entire

smell club theme around this fragrance.

And to be honest, it is the main reason why I brought back spooky, witchy, smell

club this year.

The name enrolique is not a misnomer.

It is ambery and spicy and resinous and vanillaic.

But compared to some of those more classic amber scent profiles,

think scents like Serge Luton-Ambres-Sulton or Topford Amber Absolute,

even Gerdin Charlemar,

Ambril, Embr, Smells a little less poopppy amber and a lot more mystical spice.

This is a Dominique-Cropion creation, and it is his modern interpretation of an actual medieval

elixir that was created in 1348 to ward off both evil spirits and the bubonic plague.

It's not about Zufo-1, am I right? And what's so special

about this fragrance is that, yeah, functionally, it does smell repellent. It's aromatic in the

same way that you might associate with a botanical, like all-natural insect repellent. Notes like

clove and lemon and eucalyptus. They're all immediately

evident. And it's full of billowing churchy incense notes like myrrh and frankincense, which in the

middle ages, when this formula was initially created, were used specifically to clarify and cleanse bad
